Fitness Basics For Better Health And A Better Life
Try putting together different exercises in order to make up a fitness program that suits your needs. You want to try and hit all the different muscle groups with the activities that you do. Engage in Cardio exercises, lift weights, and stretch to create a complete program that will maximize your strength and agility. Make sure you don't overdo it so that you still have energy left when you are finished.
At garage sales or at online websites such as Craigslist you can often find really low priced weights and other exercise equipment. Getting the right equipment to exercise with can make a big difference, and when its bought for a good price it makes things even better!
One way to get the most out of your fitness routine is to be sure to feed your muscles carbohydrates and protein shortly after working out. This will ensure that your muscles are replenished and also that they are not sore for the next day. A good idea would be to keep an orange with you in your workout bag, and possibly a can of tuna fish once you are out of a public area.
Avoid being too hard on yourself if you fail to meet a goal or take a day off. We all need a break now and then. The important thing is to not take one day's failure, as a reason to quit entirely. Fitness is something you will be doing for the rest of your life. Just like brushing your teeth, just because you missed a day doesn't mean to you stop forever.
To help you stick with your fitness goals, find yourself a workout buddy. This person will help you stay accountable for showing up to your workouts. Having a buddy can also keep you motivated on the days when you'd rather not do your workout. Laughing and talking as you work out will allow you to work out longer, which causes you to burn more calories than if you were just working out alone.
A great fitness tip is to make sure you perform dead-lifts with correct form. To correctly perform dead-lifts you'll want to keep the bar as close to your body as you can. If you incorrectly perform dead-lifts you can end up with a serious injury which can include a hernia. You can prevent illness if it is really difficult for you to exercise during the week or if you just don't do it at all by adding two 20 minute aerobic or weight workout sessions to your weekly schedule.
This small amount of exercise can help you avoid sick days. These tips should have given you some much needed insight on where to start and how to begin with your own personal fitness plan. These tips were thoughtfully compiled to help the fitness novice learn the basics and some other cool techniques that are simple enough to use for everyday.
Did these fitness basics for better health and a better life help you? ===> Please Share...Thank You!

Successful Weight Loss Made Easy For Dummies
Below are a set of tips that will assist you in your weight loss goals. When trying to get your metabolism going regularly, you should eat every 2 to 3 hours. Many people try to stay healthy and lose weight by limiting the amount of food they eat and number of times they eat per day. This can cause your body to feel as if it is starving and it will actually store fat rather than burn it.
To help you lose weight faster you will need to do some weight training. Weight training will increase your muscle mass in your body. Muscle burns a large amount of calories, even when you are at rest. By increasing your muscle mass, you will increase your daily calorie expenditure greatly. This is essential for not only losing weight but to lose it faster as well.
To lose weight you obviously want to stay away from food that is high in calories, but that doesn't necessarily mean you have to starve. Don't worry so much about how much you're eating, but rather what you're eating. So stay away from the bad stuff and dig in and eat plenty of low-calorie treats like salads, fruits and veggies to satisfy your appetite.
It is easy to get caught up with a scale and with numbers when trying to lose weight. The number on the scale really doesn't matter, it can fluctuate for many different reasons, and you can get discouraged easily. Get a tape measure and have a goal to lower your size, not your weight.
Don't consume snacks or meals too late in the day. A general rule is not to eat after eight o'clock at night, though this will vary based on your bedtime. You want to give your body plenty of time to properly digest the foods you have eaten before you go to bed.
As the above tips suggest, losing weight is really not as difficult as many people make it out to be. All it takes to lose weight is some determination and willpower. If you follow these tips, you are certain to drop the weight you have been trying to drop for years.

Need To Buff Up? Try These Great Tips
If you have decided to work on building up muscle mass, first talk to your doctor. While working out can improve almost any body type, there are a few conditions that require you to avoid certain types of exercise. Most of them are related to heart conditions and heavy lifting.
To build muscle faster, consume more fish. The omega-3 fatty acids in fish increase insulin sensitivity in muscle, which makes them better at storing glycogen and absorbing amino acids. They will also retain more glutamine, which is the most abundant amino acid, and the one that has the most benefit when it comes to building muscle.
To keep your muscles growing in a healthy way, be sure to eat lots of complex carbohydrates at each meal. This would include whole grain breads and other whole grains, such as quinoa and oatmeal. These carbohydrates digest very slowly and will give you continued energy throughout your workout.
Consider drinking a protein shake before starting your weight-training workouts. Liquid minerals tend to be absorbed quicker in the body than solid food, so think about having a shake filled with protein, about 10 to 20 grams. The protein shake will help give you a boost of protein to encourage protein synthesis, which is the way to building muscles.
Make sure that you keep on increasing the number of weights that you lift. In order to build big, strong muscles, you need to constantly extend your current muscles to their limit. If your muscles are not intensively worked out, they will not grow. You could also increase the number of repetitions that you do to increase the intensity of your workout.
Any time you are lifting a heavy free weight, it is very important that you have a spotter. This is someone who knows the routine that you are doing and also understands when you are requiring help. Many times this person can become a type of gym buddy as well.
In order to build muscle it is important for you to properly fuel your body. Drinking a protein shake that is loaded with essential vitamins is a great way to give your body the nutrients it needs to repair torn muscle fibers and ultimately build the larger muscles you want.
Practicing poses can be an effective and important part of a muscle-building routine, even if you are not bodybuilding competitively. The value of posing in front of a mirror is in the self-education it provides. Posing will increase your awareness of individual muscle groups and give you a better idea of how they work together.
Using what you've learned here will be key in creating a muscle building strategy which works for you. You'll be able to reach goals more quickly by avoiding common mistakes, and build your mass beyond your peers as you'll know the techniques which work best. All it will take is determination!

Weight loss can be difficult, but it doesn't have to be a joyless, taste-free endeavor either. We will give you proven tips and techniques to help you successfully lose weight, and lose it in a healthy way. Follow our tips and you will be well on your way to reaching your goal.
Find a healthy and delicious snack that you can enjoy without guilt. When you are craving a snack, you don't have to starve yourself, you can enjoy a delicious and nutritious snack that tastes good and does your body some good. This is a good way to avoid aggravation with your weight loss efforts. Build a daily menu of foods you plan to eat to stay ahead of your dietary goals.
By calculating exactly what you are eating you will become more aware of the amount of calories going into your body. This will show you exactly how much you will need to exercise off to lose the weight.
Weight gain could be affected by medical, physical or mental problems. So a weight issue could result from any of the evil three. The key to a healthy weight is to figure out which of the three, if not all, is your problem. To begin, you should consult your medical professional to try to identify the problems.
Then you must be willing to change your lifestyle to adapt to the weight loss plan. When you are counting carbohydrates, make sure you research the food at restaurants carefully. For example, you may think that because you can eat ground beef, that the beef at all restaurants is okay.
Sometimes restaurants use fillers that can cause you to take in more carbohydrates than you expect. Kiss your love partner passionately more often (more than 10 times a day). Kissing is a surprisingly effective way to burn calories. Physical activity between partners is also a great way to burn calories. According to several studies, kissing for more than 10 minutes a day can trim up eight pounds off your body per year.
Give these pointers a try and you will be amazed at the weight you will be able to lose. No matter what your weight-loss goal is, if you use our pointers the weight will come off. Successful weight loss is possible - you CAN do it. Forget about any previous failures - this time it will be different.

Fat Loss Foods: Top Picks

When it comes to fat loss foods there are many that are better than others. The benefits are greater with natural foods when it comes to losing weight. The rule of thumb is to burn more calories than you consume and eat more than 3 times per day.
The Concept of Negative Calorie Foods
The idea of deficit calories is a very real concept but in fact they do contain calories but are easily lost with less exercise than regular heavy foods. A weight loss food that takes more energy to digest it is classified as a negative calorie food.
Vegetables and fruits are negative calorie foods including grapefruit, cantaloupe, peaches, lemons and apples to name a few in the fruit category. In the veggie department you have broccoli, asparagus, celery, peppers, tomatoes and spinach.Fiber & Water: feeds the hunger
These 2 together add up to a full stomach giving you a full feeling without the food cravings. The health benefits outweigh a quick trip to the fast food joint. The natural qualities of fiber and water combined are notable since water is a natural resource and fiber lowers cholesterol and keeps you regular.
fiber is found in vegetables, dried fruit and whole grains. You can see the trend with these types of foods, there are no processed foods to speak of and it goes to show the effects of packaged goods that are full of additives, dyes and preservatives.
All Natural is The Key To Weight Loss Foods
Vegetables and fruits are natural foods that come from mother earth and are the perfect fat loss foods. High water content in fruits add to hydration and a full feeling. Strong colored vegetables contain more vitamins and minerals than any other food. Dark green leafy vegetables are great roughage for a calorie burning diet since it takes calories to digest these natural fat burners.

A Fat Burning Diet Without Pills & Supplements.

A fat burning diet is easy to follow once you know what foods will help you shed the pounds. Low calorie diets may show a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but after that all weight loss comes to a screeching halt, a process known as a dieting plateau. What you need to do is start a fat burning diet with thermogenic foods.
Thermogenic: The process of fat or calorie burning caused by increasing heat output.
The most thermogenic fat burning foods are lean protein from solid foods like: skinless, boneless chicken breast & turkey breast.
Can Game Meats & Shellfish Be Included?
Game meats such as venison or elk, bison, buffalo, very lean red meat such as top round and lean sirloin (organic, free-range, grass fed is especially nutritious).
Almost all types of fish, shellfish and other seafood, natural, and organic egg whites without the yolks are beneficial.
A combination of both exercises and fat burning foods can help an individual lose the desired amount of weight without the help of any artificial weight loss products.
Your Diet Should be Fiber Rich
To give your digestive system a helping hand include raw foods like broccoli, cauliflower & salad greens.
A great fat burning diet for your stomach is fiber rich and you must have plenty of water, too much processed sugar, refined foods, dairy products & the wrong types of red meat will send you backwards on your weight loss goals.
Vegetables and fruits are considered to Be fat burning foods, eating them raw or slightly cooked will keep all the nutritional values intact.
All Fruits Are Essential

Fresh fruits [all citrus fruits] can be an ideal choice for shedding pounds. People differ widely in their ability to process carbs. Foods that burn fat refer to specific type of foods that either burn fats accumulated in the body or improve metabolism.
Adding these types of foods in your regular diet, you can easily wash out the fat from your body and keep yourself fit and healthy.
What About Carbohydrates?
Green beans are some of the lowest of the low carb foods in the bean category. While black beans, red bean, Garbanzo beans, and lima beans pack almost 30 grams of carbohydrates into a serving, green beans float in at only 5 grams of carbs per 3/4 cup serving.
Due to eating only low carb foods, glycogen is used for energy, and this causes a decrease in water weight. Also bare in mind that limiting carbs is also limiting calories.
Stevia: The Most Recommended Natural Sweetener
Stevia has gained attention with the rise in demand for low sugar substitutes. It's been used for centuries by native South American tribes as a sweetener in yerba mate and medicinal teas for treating heartburn and other ailments.
Low carbohydrate nutrition became very popular a few years ago as research tied carbohydrate consumption with increased blood insulin levels and increased insulin with obesity.
It was thought that these foods would lead to people using and burning off their fat storage for energy instead of carbohydrates.
A Big Reason Why Low Calorie Diets Don't Work.
Low Calorie Diets don't work since the human body adjusts quickly to decreased calorie intake and slows down metabolism to allow energy storage, namely fat.
Trying to choose the right foods in the supermarket can be frustrating so what this generator does is allow you to choose up to 30 foods then it lays out your 11 day meal plan that you can print out.
Eating a minimum of 4 meals daily every 3 to 4 hours keeps your metabolism levels high and you'll have a full feeling throughout the day. Following that system along with planning and exercise is the secret behind a fat burning diet

What To Eat To Lose Weight
Foods That Build Muscle
It doesn't matter how hard you work out, if you don't give your body the foods it needs for energy and muscle building, your workouts will be useless. To build muscle, you need one kind of food for energy and another kind for muscle building.
Carbohydrates - The Energy Foods
You have to give your body fuel to burn if you want your workouts to be effective. If you don't have enough fuel, you will lose momentum quickly. In this manner, your body works much like a car. What happens when your car runs out of fuel? It stops. The same is true for your body. Even if you are able to continue moving, the processes of the body will not be able to do their job.
Eat a lot of complex carbohydrates a couple of hours before a muscle building workout. These include foods like potatoes, pasta, whole grain breads and vegetables. If you are looking to put on a lot of muscle, your body will need a lot of fuel. After your workout, stock up again by eating some carbs with your protein.
Protein - The Muscle Builders
It is protein that is utilized by the body for building muscle. You must have a certain amount of protein every day just to keep the muscle you have. When you are trying to put on muscle mass, you will need more protein.
Protein should be eaten AFTER a workout. This is because it is after your workout that your muscles begin the building up process. Muscles build up by repairing the "damage" you do to them by lifting heavy weights. By eating protein rich foods after a workout, you are giving your body what it needs to build the muscle you want.
Good sources of protein come from red meat, chicken, turkey, fish, cheese and eggs, nuts, beans and yogurt. Eat some carbohydrates with your protein to replenish your glycogen stores. If glycogen stores are depleted, the body uses the protein in its place. You don't want that - you want the protein to go where it is meant to go - to building muscle.
Here's the quick way how to build muscle fast, a must have guide to know all the secrets to build your body with less time and efforts. Please visit http://www.waystobuildmusclefast.com/ for details.

Write your goals like you've already achieved them:
"I am down 2 dress sizes" OR "I'm back to my 34 inch waste"
"I weigh 10 pounds less than 6 weeks ago"
"I "eat healthy food" and avoid the drive-thru"
Check Out The Following List:
*Watch a motivating movie like "Rocky" click the link and watch a short video from the series. I love the underdog plot. The soundtrack "Eye Of The Tiger" will get your juices going!
*Post your goals where you can see them everyday [on the bathroom mirror, the side of the fridge or [in your wallet if you want to keep it private].
*Subscribe to dailygood.org for daily inspirations delivered to your email address.[there are no ads or product promotions]

Here's a great quote from Adam:
"I am not "special" and neither is the transformation. Thousands of people all over the world do this kind of thing all the time (myself included, 7 years ago). This transformation has more to do with the mind than the body. The body is merely a physical representation of your daily thoughts and actions."

I follow this book as well and it's by far the most comprehensive and in-depth resource you'll ever read and I can guarantee you it works, you will be totally motivated. It focuses on weight loss, your mindset and eating whole food according to your body make-up. As you can see from this video Adam's physique is all natural. Take a look, it will inspire you!

A Motivational Weight Loss Message From Tom Venuto-Author Of "Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle"
Why Some People Quit And Some People NEVER Give UpBy Tom Venuto, CSCS, NSCA-CPT
burnthefat.com
Throughout my 18 years in the fitness industry as a trainer, nutrition consultant and motivational coach, I have noticed that some people who start a nutrition and exercise program give up very easily after hitting the first obstacle they encounter. If they feel the slightest bit of discouragement or frustration, they will abandon even their biggest goals and dreams.
On the other hand, I noticed that some people simply NEVER give up. They have ferocious persistence and they never let go of their goals. These people are like the bulldog that refuses to release its teeth-hold on a bone. The harder you try to pull the bone out of his mouth, the harder the dog chomps down with a vice-like grip.
What's the difference between these two types of people? Psychologists say there is an answer.
An extremely important guideline for achieving fitness success is the concept that, "There is no failure; only feedback. You don't "fail", you only get results."
This is a foundational principle from the field of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and the first time I ever heard it was from peak performance expert Anthony Robbins back in the late 1980's. It's a principle that stuck with me ever since, because it's a very, very powerful shift in mindset.
A lot of people will second-guess themselves and they'll bail out and quit, just because what they try at first doesn't work. They consider it a permanent failure, but all they need is a little attitude change, a mindset change, or what we call a "reframe."
Instead of saying, "This is failure" they can say to themselves, "I produced a result" and "This is only temporary." This change in perspective is going to change the way that they feel and how they mentally process and explain the experience. It turns into a learning opportunity and valuable feedback for a course correction instead of a failure, and that drives continued action and forward movement.
It's all about your results and your interpretation of those results
Dr Martin Seligman, a professor of psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, did some incredible research on this subject and wrote about it in his book, Learned Optimism. Dr. Seligman noticed that the difference between people who give up and people who persist and never quit is what he referred to as "explanatory style." He said that explanatory style is the way we explain or interpret bad events or failures.
People who habitually give up have an explanatory style of permanence. For example, they hit a plateau in their progress and explain it by saying, "diets never work" or "I have bad genetics so I'll always be fat." These explanations imply permanence.
Other people hit the same plateaus and encounter the same challenges, but explain them differently. They say things such as, "I ate too many cheat meals this week," or "I haven't found the right diet for my body type yet." These explanations of the results imply being temporary.
People who see negative results as permanent failure are the ones who give up easily and often generalize their "failure" into other areas of their lives and even into their own sense of self. It's one thing to say, "I ate poorly this past week because I was traveling," (a belief about temporary behavior and environment), and to say, "I am a fat person because of my genetics" (a belief about identity with a sense of permanence). Remember, body fat is a temporary condition, not a person!
People who see challenges and obstacles as temporary and as valuable learning experiences are the ones who never quit. If you learn from your experiences, not repeating what didn't work in the past, and if you choose to never quit, your success is inevitable.

Weight Loss And The Dangers Of Eating Fast Food
The dangers Of eating fast food? it's processed, and these foods are over processed at the cost of nutrients. Flavor is also destroyed, so before suppliers try to feed us this nutrient poor food, they add things like salt, sugar and fat for better taste. Weight loss will become an uphill battle.* Fast food is the king of saturated fat which helps to build up toxins in our bodies along with clogged arteries and poor immune systems.
This will sum up the dangers of eating fast food. Your weight loss campaign can do without saturated fats clogging up your arteries.

Body Cleansing Detoxification-How I lost 12 Pounds With The Wild Rose Herbal D-Tox Formula.
What Are The Benefits Of Detoxing Our Body?I recently completed the "Wild Rose" 12 day herbal body cleansing detoxification. My starting body weight was 190 lbs. and after 5 days I dropped a whopping 12 pounds. My day job is physical and I workout 5 days a week with casual weightlifting. I'm not sure if it's the extra activity or my genes but I do know I feel great mentally and physically. This program works and I want to share the details with you.
The first question most people ask is what is a body cleansing detoxification and how does it benefit our health?
Detoxing your body with the right herbs and supplements is a natural way of removing unwanted toxins and heavy metals from the lymphatic system improving the overall immune system.
Toxin accumulation may also deplete our energy and leave us feeling sluggish and unfocused. It can also disrupt digestion and change our appetite.
The 12 Day Wild Rose Herbal D-Tox Program
The Wild Rose Herbal D-Tox consists of 4 herbal formulas, 3 in tablet form and 1 in a liquid form taken with morning and evening meals. The food choices are very important and there are no limits to how much you eat, as long as you stick to the list of foods in the program. The first thing I thought about was "what can I eat during this program?" I was allowed to eat as much fish [ most recommended protein ] as I wanted, namely Salmon & Tuna which was convenient for lunches. Other acceptable protein foods below:
Protein Foods [Acid Forming]:
- beef, fresh dried beans, coffee [black /2 cup maximum], whole eggs, grains:barley, kasha, bulgar, spelt, kamut, amaranth, quinoa, oats, rye, brown rice, millet and buckwheat.
- lamb, lentils, liver, nuts, oatmeal, peas [dried], poultry, pork, prunes [cooked], rhubarb[cooked], rice [white], seeds [sunflower, flax], soy beans, tofu [plain & unsweetened], veal and wheatgerm.
Starch Foods [Alkaline Forming] like almonds, millet, buckwheat and brown rice are the most recommended. Other acceptable Starch Foods are as follows:
- apples, apricots, berries[strawberries/raspberries etc, cherries, lemons, peaches, pears, plums, nectarines, popcorn, baked potatoes, pumpkin, squash, sweet potato, yams, sesame seeds, soy milk[without sweeteners], tahini & fresh tomatoes.
Bulk Forming Natural [Neutral Foods]: Most recommended are chives, garlic, ginger, onions [leeks, green onions, shallots etc] , herbal tea [without milk], water.
- Acceptable Bulk Foods: arugula, artichokes, asparagus, avocado, dried green beans, beets and beet tops, bok choy, broccoli, brussel sprouts, butter, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, collards, corn, chards, cucumbers, dandelion, eggplant, endive, escarole, seasoning herbs: basil, oregano, thyme, coriander etc, kale, kohlrabi, lettuce, mustard greens, okra, all oils except peanut oil [olive oil, flax & sunflower oil], parsley, parsnips, peas [green], peppermint, peppers [all], radiccio, radishes, rutabagas, seaweeds, sorrel, spinach, sprouts, turnips, veggie seasoning, water cress.
My Food List:
I stuck to a basic menu with a few organic foods combined namely almond butter, wheatgerm and soy milk. Other daily foods were whole eggs, shredded wheat cereal with soy milk, canned tuna and salmon [including fresh portions], lean chicken & turkey, leafy greens, tomatoes, apples, rice cakes, white potatoes, brown rice, black coffee [2 cups max.], green tea, and avocados and other veggies[mostly carrots & broccoli].
If you stick to the recommended foods you're going to feel great! As you can see there's no bread, refined products [ sugar is taboo!] and milk products. There's no limit to how much you can eat and I never felt hungry at night [Green tea was a nice pacifier along with an apple].
In conclusion I'm sticking with this diet regimen and will probably do another body cleansing detoxification in 6 months. I recommend the Wild Rose D-Tox [available at most health food stores] for the positive effects you will achieve both physically and mentally.

High Metabolism Boosting Foods

High metabolism boosting foods are important items to include in your diet, because a high metabolism allows you to have more energy and burn more fat. Those are both key factors in living a long and healthy life. The following list of foods will help you get the most out of what you choose to fuel your body with.
1. Beans – Beans are low on the glycemic index, which means they won’t cause you to store up a bunch of fat just to digest them. Plus, they are full of protein.
2. Breakfast – Some people still think that skipping breakfast helps with weight loss. Your metabolism already lowers from going without food all night. The last thing you want to do is not eat a nutritious morning meal. Metabolism levels will lower even more...
3. Chicken – We’re not talking fried here. Bake your chicken minus the skin for a food that is high in protein and low in fat—a perfect metabolism booster.
4. Milk – The lower in fat it is, the better. Low-fat dairy products like milk, thanks to the high dose of calcium, have been shown to reduce the absorption of fat.
5. Fiber-filled food – Foods that are high in fiber are some of the best foods that speed metabolism. Fiber keeps digestion and weight loss moving along.
6. Grapefruit – Now, don’t get carried away and go on a grapefruit-only diet, but the fad started in the first place for a reason; you actually burn more calories digesting grapefruit more than many other fruits.
7. Lentils – The combination of protein and fiber gives you two powerful ways of ramping up your metabolism.
8. Spicy foods – The capsaicin in hot foods helps your calorie-burning ability up to fifty percent up to 2 hours after eating.
9. Turkey – Along with chicken, this lean meat high in protein can help you burn up to 25 percent more calories.
10. Yogurt – The calcium in yogurt helps keep the fat off and it boosts metabolism by aiding in the digestion process.
As you can see from this list of ten foods that speed metabolism, foods that are high in fiber and protein are two of the main constituents of high metabolism boosting foods. Also remember to eat up to six small meals a day, as that will help increase the number of calories you burn simply from eating and digesting. What can be a simpler way than that for burning calories?
Eat calories Lose Weight

Anyone can easily eat calories, lose weight and achieve results with the fat reducing foods listed below. The combination of protein, carbs and healthy fat in your diet over a short period of time will guarantee positive results. Combining a fitness routine will double your efforts depending on your goals and your workout intensity level.
Your body changes everyday and the food you put in will determine the outcome on how your body will look. Don't be fooled by expensive drugs that will jeopardize your health and hyped up supplements that claim unbelievable results.
1. If you like eggs in the morning mix in vegetables like zucchini, onions, asparagus, fresh mushrooms, spinach, broccoli and red peppers. Pick two or three of these ingredients and chop up some lean chicken or turkey sausages along with swiss, jack, or goat cheese. I prefer scrambling these ingredients together and I can tell you it beats fast food ten times over.
2. Whole eggs are one of the most natural sources of protein packed full of nutrients that helps increase good cholesterol. Egg beaters are a little pricy but will do in a pinch if you just want the pure protein in egg whites. However if you do not want to waste the egg yoke then this product is perfect for you.
3. For a great meal between breakfast and lunch you can mix cottage or ricotta cheese and yogurt together with chopped nuts and berries. The morning is a great time to add the extra carbs to your meal giving you the additional energy you need especially after a morning workout.
4. Healthy fats are a necessary requirement in your nutrition campaign providing a cushion and protection for internal organs also providing essential fatty acids that benefit your heart, metabolism and immune system. Chopped walnuts, pecans, almonds and macadamia nuts are a few of the healthy fats you can consume conservatively.
5. If you love peanut butter then natural is the way to go, there are products in the grocery store that have just peanuts and oil as ingredients. There are options to plain peanut butter such as mixing almond butter and sesame butter or cashew butter with macadamia butter for a change in the same old taste of regular peanut butter.
6. Butter versus margarine has been an issue for years and it has been proven that real butter can be mixed into a healthy diet. The flavor is great but it is calorie dense and should be regulated accordingly. Margarine is very bad for the heart because of the way it stays hard which in turn tends to plug up the arteries.
7. Avocados are a very healthy fat full of fiber and other nutrients that can be used in salads, wraps and sandwiches. I personally throw an entire avocado in a salad mixed with vinegar and oil. Cut around the avocado stone and it will pull apart easily when properly ripened. The skin will shed easily and once cubed makes a nice addition to any salad.
8. Try this salad dressing you can make at home which includes balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil and Udo's Choice oil blend. A perfect mix compared to some salad dressings that use highly refined soya bean oil. Leaf lettuce and spinach are great for burning calories during digestion and make a great salad anytime.
9. Salmon, herring and lake trout are a few of the best protein sources you can eat even if they are frozen and sitting in the freezer. Omega 3 fatty acids in fish play a crucial role in brain function as well as normal growth and development. The American Heart Association recommends eating fish at least 2 times a week.
10. Whole grain bread and wraps are recommended for carb and fiber intake but make sure they have 3 to 4 grams of fiber for every 20 grams of total carbs. Rice bran and wheat germ add a healthy crunchy taste to yogurt, smoothies and even muffins or breads to increase nutrients and fiber.
Protein increases metabolism because of the thermogenic reaction it causes in the human body so it makes sense to eat more protein along with carbohydrates for needed energy and healthy fats for normal growth and development. All these foods consumed 5 to 6 times a day, combined with cardio and resistance training will guarantee you results without drugs or supplements draining your wallet and harming your health. Now you can eat calories and lose weight without ever having to go hungry again.
The Benefits Of Green Tea For Dieting

According to a recent study supplied by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, green tea not only fights heart disease and cancer but may also fight body fat. It was shown that a bottle of tea fortified with green tea extract produced a higher loss of body fat for people who drank it every day for 3 months compared to others who drank regular oolong tea. This further confirms the benefits of green tea for dieting which is backed up by the following points below.
1. According to researchers, substances known as catechins may promote weight loss by stimulating calorie burning and decreasing body fat.
2. Polyphenols are plant based substances that have antioxidant, anticancer and antiviral characteristics. They are found in most teas.
3. Green tea is rich in catechins which is a type of polyphenol. With antiflammatory and anticancer properties already, green tea has a positive effect on body fat and cholesterol levels.
4. Green tea, oolong tea and black tea all come from the Camella sinesis plant. Only green tea leaves are not fermented before steaming and drying.
5. Researchers studied the effects of catechins on body fat reduction and weight loss on a test group of 35 Japanese men. They had similar weights based on there body mass index which is the measurement of body fat. Waste sizes were also taken into account for the test.
6. The test group was split into 2 groups to perform a 3 month test. One group drank a bottle of oolong tea fortified with green tea extract with 690 milligrams of catechins while the second group drank the same amount of oolong tea with 22 milligrams of catechins.
7. Both groups were instructed to control their calorie and fat intake, eating from the same breakfast and dinner menu.
8. The study proved that after 3 months the men who drank the green tea extract lost 5.3 pounds compared to 2.9 pounds from the other group. The LDL bad cholesterol levels also went down and they experienced a decrease in their waist size, BMI and total body fat.
9. The amount of tea and steeping time will determine how much catechins are contained in each cup consumed. Four cups a day are recommended and green tea extract supplements are available.
This study proves the benefits of green tea for dieting and will help with the prevention of various diseases. Results may vary but obesity may be reduced with green tea extract incorporated in a daily diet.

Quick Way To Lose Weight

First thing to do is stop eating refined sugars and anything touched by man! If it's packaged and processed by human hands stay away. Let's do an example with Breakfast Cereal, stay away from high amounts of salt & sugar including grams of fat.
If you don't know what the chemical ingredients are, put it back on the shelf and grab some Shredded Wheat [only has one ingredient: Whole Wheat!]. Top your cereal with Skim Milk & Strawberries followed by a tablespoon of Natural Peanut Butter.
The above meal consists of Protein [skim milk] Carbohydrates [whole wheat] and healthy fat [natural peanut butter]. Think of these food groups as you plan your 5 to 6 meals a day, [the standard if you're serious about losing weight]. A regular dose of proper nutrition, cardio and resistance training will blast off the fat sooner than you think!
Protein burns fat! The human body takes 3 hours to digest each meal, lean protein is very thermogenic and burns calories better than any other nutrient. Just think, a meal every 3 hours, you'll never go hungry again and get ravenous cravings for cheesburgers and fries.
Eat Fresh fish like Salmon, Herring & Rainbow Trout. If you don't have these available then go for Chicken & Turkey Breast, Tuna, Shellfish, Egg Whites, non-fat cottage cheese and Whey Protein[as a back-up].
Here are the Complex Carbohydrates you'll need as energy for your intense workouts: Spinach, Kale, Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, Asparagus, Collard Greens, Red Peppers, Tomatoes, Yams & Sweet Potatoes, Barley, Oatmeal [no sugar!], Beans, Lentils and long grain basmati rice.
Good Fats your body requires with Omega 3 Fatty Acids.
Flaxseed Oil, Udo's Choice Essential Oil, Fish Fat [salmon, trout, herring, sardines] These are the best nutrients in all three categories and should be combined approximately 40% protein 40% carbohydrates and 20% fat.
Remember, stay away from any kind of sugar and fast food!
Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day, flush those ugly toxins out of your sacred vessel!
Go to the gym and find a trainer to start you on a weight lifting routine suited for your level and go 3 to 4 times a week. If you can't do the gym and want to workout at home, find a recommended resource in print or on DVD.
Working out at home takes more discipline but it adds to the challenge! Go For It! Run, walk, ride a bike or get on a stairmaster, normally 3 to 4 times a week for a minimum of one half hour. The human body was meant to work and move, turn off the television and work that body!
Set a goal to lose your weight within the time you want it to happen, write it down and put it on the fridge, in your wallet, on the bathroom mirror and believe it's going to happen!
Write down your goals like this:
I Will lose [blank] pounds in [blank] days/weeks/months! I WILL not make any excuses or be discouraged by negative comments!
For inspiration, find a photo out of a fitness, fashion or movie magazine of someone you want to look like and attach it where you'll see it everyday. This is a quick way to lose weight and most importantly the safest since you won't be starving yourself, less food does not equal more weight loss.
This is a major misconception among a lot of people. The human body has a very precise survival instinct, if it detects you are in starvation mode [like skipping regular meals] it will store fat more readily and slow down your metabolism!
